Paramedical Esthetician (Advanced Medical Skin Care Specialist)
Our Paramedical Esthetician diploma program focuses on the prevention, correction and overall health and beauty of the body's largest organ: the skin. Under the guidance of a licensed health care provider in a medical facility, a paramedical esthetician may administer chemical peels, prepare the skin for surgery, or assist in the post operative healing phase through the use of camouflage therapy. In the spa, an esthetician may perform facials, waxing and makeup application.
Students will be given training on advanced concepts in skin analysis, the integumentary system and disorders of skin to name a few. Using technologically advanced equipment, tools and modalities, students will engage hands-on in treatment techniques and procedures. Students will perfect learned treatment room skills in a clinical spa setting while completing 80 services as part of their practical training.
